In this section, we’ll go through a couple scenarios that leverage all of the tools on LNnodeInsight to identify candidate nodes to open channels to. To tackle that problem, it’s a good idea to first figure out what you want to achieve. Here are a few questions to consider:

• What kind of routing opportunity am I looking for?
• What stage is my routing node at (total capacity, number of channels) and how much more will the node be growing?
• What are my current peers like?
